| Digital Giving Options Before anyone responds with the, “Do we really need this?” statement, it’s a generational thing, so please let us explain. The Elders were approached with this basic statement, Many young people today do not use or buy checks. They open checking accounts to get a DEBIT card and pay almost all of their bills with the card. The occasional paper check they write is one of the initial counter checks they received and once they run out of counter checks they go in for another ten or so from the bank since those are free. Some of us have to remember to stop by the ATM on the way into church every Sunday because we don’t want to use up our paper check supply. Since we already have an IPad, that is not being used, the Eldership decided to try a Kiosk (which will be in the back) and also a cash.me account for Smart Phone direct payment. Both of these options are from Square.com and free for us to establish & free for you to use. There are no monthly or yearly fees for maintenance, but there is a flat rate fee of 2.75% per transaction. In both cases you will get a receipt either by text message or email that you can print out for tax purposes. Give one or both a try, if you like and tell us what you think.
